Provent has over 400 active EAS customers in Western Canada

SURREY, BC – Dec 19th, 2016 – Flashgate Technology Inc. is pleased to announce the completion of the acquisition of Provent Technologies Corporation, a leading provider of Electronic Article Surveillance (EAS) systems to retailers in Western Canada.

“This acquisition gives us over 400 retail customers to continue to sell EAS tags and systems to while at the same time giving us a warm customer list for deployments of our new Flashgate systems,” stated Greg Watkin, CEO of Flashgate. “Provent has all of the right attributes we were looking for in an acquisition target. Provent will be maintained as a wholly owned operating subsidiary of Flashgate Technology Inc and will relocate to the Flashgate headquarters once their existing lease expires in early 2017. Provent will continue to focus on the sales and servicing of legacy EAS products for both new and existing customers while at the same time feed leads to the Flashgate business for the deployment of next generation Flashgate EAS/Digital Out Of Home networked systems.
